Dr. Yu Wu graduated from Nanjing Medical University with a doctoral degree in Health Toxicology. Currently, he serves as a professor at Jiangnan University, Wuxi Medical College. He teaches undergraduate courses in Preventive Medicine, Social Medicine, and graduate courses in Toxicology. Dr. Wu is a member of the Basic Medical Expert Committee on Osteoporosis of the Chinese Geriatrics and Gerontology Association and a member of the Mechanistic Toxicology and Management Toxicology Society of Jiangsu Province. Research Focus His research is dedicated to investigating the mechanisms by which environmental factors contribute to skeletal diseases. He employs a comprehensive approach utilizing molecular cell biology, genetically engineered mice, and population studies to explore the roles and mechanisms of heavy metals, particulate matter, intestinal microbiota, and other factors in skeletal disorders. Projects Undertaken Dr. Wu has served as the principal investigator for 4 projects funded by the National Natural Science Foundation of China and 1 project funded by the Natural Science Foundation of Jiangsu Province.
